Put away those guns and rifles until you understand the basic tenets of gun safety. Thousands of accidents and deaths are caused each year as a direct result of gun safety ignorance. Gun safety isn’t rocket science and even a child is capable of learning a couple rules that may save his life or someone else’s. The National Rifle Association points out three fundamental gun safety rules that should never be ignored—so, whether you’ve got Remington rifles or a semi-automatic machine gun you should follow these rules.
1. Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.
2. Always keep your finger off the trigger until you’re ready to shoot.
3. Always keep the gun unloaded until ready to use.

Unless you’re a zoologist you probably don’t think much about how animals communicate with one another. Sure we’ve all heard of whales singing and dolphins sending sonar signs to one another, but how do the rest of animals communicate?
Deer are common in many parts of North America, and though we often see them we probably don’t know much about them.
Deer use scent to send messages to other deer. They have glands on different parts of their bodies that emit pheromones. Deer scents are used to warn other deer of impending danger or as a tool for attracting mates.

FFL stands for Federal Firearms License. All firearms purchased from Neal’s Outdoors must be shipped to a FFL holder by law. There is an FFL Holder Network in place that is structured to allow consumers to contact FFL holders locally that can manage the transfer of a firearms sale.
The FFL holder will usually charge a small fee for providing these conveyance services. In addition to the FFL holder fees, there may be local laws in effect requiring the collection of sales tax, background check fees, or other costs related to the transfer. It is essential that you contact the FFL holder in your area for verification of total fees, to make sure you pass any mandatory background checks, and to verify the legality of the firearm you wish to buy, whether a Taurus 1911 or a Ruger GP100.

In my household, we have a tendency to quote this line from the “Crocodile Dundee” movie when we see each other holding a knife, even using the accent at times.
Neal’s Outdoors offers Bowie, Gerber, and Kershaw knives that can meet your every hunting, tactical, camping, and fishing need. Compare and save!
